New in ClubApp: smarter team chat, family accounts and a better club shop

We've shipped a lot lately — most of it aimed at the same thing: less admin, fewer group chats, and more of your club living in one app. Here's what's new, and why it matters.

Team chat that actually does something

Team chat used to be for talk. Now it does the work too. Hit the + menu to drop a poll, an event, a volunteer shift, a shop item, a raffle or an auction straight into the conversation — and link a club document as a card that even shows your sign status. Type # to attach an event and teammates can RSVP right from the message; mention someone with @ and they get notified, so the message that matters doesn't get lost in the scroll.

• Create extra channels — a Social chat, whole-team or a chosen few, open or staff-only
• Reactions show who reacted (one per person); read receipts tell you who's seen it
• Photo galleries and link previews; your half-typed draft is kept if you step away

Family accounts for junior sport

Junior clubs asked, so we built it. A parent and a young player can now jointly manage one account — both can RSVP and both get reminders, so a game never gets missed because the wrong person had the phone. Invite a parent to help manage an account, or let your child sign in to their own, and choose whether a guardian joins the team chat. When a parent RSVPs for a player, everyone can see who set the response — a small change that makes managing a junior team a lot less stressful.

We've also put shared care on a safer footing. For co-parented kids, guardian changes now go through the club — one guardian can't unilaterally remove another; the club reviews a removal request instead. Both guardians stay across their child's RSVP changes, and either can message the club privately from "My children" or view their child's chats read-only for peace of mind. Notifications on your terms

More club in one app only works if it isn't a firehose. So you can now mute a team, choose which types of notification you get, or only hear from your own teams.

A club shop worth browsing

Choose pickup at the club or delivery at checkout, and get notified the moment your order is ready to collect. Preorder items that are out of stock, spot New and Sale badges, browse as a list or a grid, and see everything in your club's own colours.

Smoother events

Editing an event's time or location no longer clears everyone's RSVPs, you can change the RSVP response type when editing, and event notes now show right on the event page.

All of it ships automatically — ClubApp updates over the air, so your members just open the app and the new features are there.
